StoryLine:

“Tourist Family” (released in 2025) is a Tamil drama that tells the heartwarming and often challenging story of a Sri Lankan Tamil family seeking refuge and a new life in India. Due to the economic crisis in Sri Lanka, Dharmadas “Das” (Sasikumar), his wife Vasanthi (Simran), and their two sons, Nithushan and Mulli, illegally flee their home in Jaffna and arrive in Rameswaram, India, with the help of Vasanthi’s brother, Prakash (Yogi Babu).Tourist Family 2025 Movie Download.

Initially apprehended by the police, the family is released due to a sympathetic officer. They then move to Kesava Nagar Colony in Chennai, where they attempt to conceal their Sri Lankan identity, posing as Malayalis to their house owner, Raghavan. Das finds temporary work as a driver, and despite warnings to keep a low profile, he and Vasanthi begin to form bonds with their neighbors, including an elderly couple, Mangaiyarkarasi and Gunasekar. However, their new life is complicated by a bomb blast in Rameswaram, which puts police, particularly a ruthless ACP, on the lookout for Sri Lankan infiltrators, potentially linking them to the family.

The film explores themes of humanity, compassion, and the resilience of a community. As the neighborhood gradually learns of Das and his family’s true identity, they overcome initial suspicions and come together, forming a strong bond. Even as the police close in on the family, the relationships forged through kindness and mutual respect prove powerful, ultimately leading to a resolution that emphasizes the triumph of human connection over prejudice and adversity.
